Another Border Patrol agent has died while on duty protecting the southern border in Texas. The investigation remains open, but Customs and Border Protection confirmed the 44-year-old agent died on duty today.
“U.S. Border Patrol agent David R. Delaney, assigned to the Big Bend Sector, passed away while performing his duties Friday, Nov. 2, near Big Bend National Park, Texas. An investigation is underway to confirm the agent’s cause of death. Agent Delaney was 44 years old and served in the U.S. Border Patrol for 10 years. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of agent Delaney during the difficult time,” said CBP Officer Bill Brooks, Branch Chief for SW Border in Texas.
